Graduate Program

Graduate Program in Statistics and Biostatistics at Rutgers University

Rutgers is pleased to announce renewed funding opportunities through CCICADA, the Command, Control, and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis, a Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence.

We have an MS program in Financial Statistics and Risk Management , and a Data Science program, to begin in Fall 2016, pending final approval.

We offer M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics. Besides the regular M.S. degree in Applied Statistics, we offer a M.S. with specializations in Industrial Quality Management, Biostatistics, and Data Mining. We offer Fellowships and Teaching Assistantships to our Ph.D. students strictly on merit basis.

The employment record of Rutgers Statistics graduates is very good. Besides academia, our graduates have career opportunities in the fields of pharmaceutical research and development, telecommunications, educational testing, financial services, environmental research, imaging technology, actuarial sciences, quality management, and with various consulting firms.

Our degrees are awarded by the Graduate School-New Brunswick on recommendation of the Graduate Program in Statistics and Biostatistics.
