Statistics Servers

Statistics has two general purpose computational servers named roo and random. Both are dual processor 64 bit opteron based machines with 8 GB of ram.
Roo has splus, sas as well as IMSL and fortran libraries available.
Random has R as well as extensive perl packages installed.
(Inorder to get the graphical versions of Splus, sas and R you are required to have some sort of X server. Coming from a Unix machine use "ssh -X")

Statistics Lab

The statistics department has 16 departmental PCs and 5 suns which are open to all Statistics and Mathematics grad students.

You can login to the PCs with your netid but you won't be able to save any settings and would be required to either save your files to a flash drive or upload them to another server.
If you want to be able to save your settings as well has have storage on the stat server you will need a "stat account". To request a "stat account" you can see Angela in room 501 or send an email to root at stat.rutgers.edu.
